Position Summary
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity for experienced Independent Freight Agents operating under Ascent’s brokerage authority.

Key Responsibilities
Build customer relationships and secure freight opportunities
Source and qualify carriers using Ascent’s systems and tools
Negotiate rates and handle required shipment documentation
Manage shipments through the full lifecycle from booking to delivery
Resolve service issues through proactive communication
Maintain accurate system records and follow company compliance standards

What You’ll Bring
Active, transferable book of business required
Must reside and operate in the United States
Strong knowledge of carrier operations, dispatching, and rate negotiation
Experience with TMS platforms and load boards such as DAT and Truckstop
