About the Role

At Keeper, the SLED Inside Sales Representatives are responsible for driving new business within the State, Local Government and Education market in an assigned geography or territory. This is a quota-carrying and revenue-generating position that reports to our Manager of Inside Sales. This role involves complex selling within a sales cycle period and requires an understanding of the public sector buying environment. You will gain a deep understanding of our frontline sales strategies while creating a vision that inspires customers to utilize Keeper as a trusted resource.

Responsibilities

Target new SLED customers through cold outreach and lead generation campaigns via phone calls and emails

Manage full sales cycle for State, Local Government and Education opportunities

Balance scheduling sales meetings with new clients on a weekly basis

Ensure all customers are on an active Keeper contract

Build and create a constant pipeline of prospect customers to scope

Act as a subject matter expert on all Keeper products, staying knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes, updates and new products

Participate in cold call and role play activities and shadow calls with colleagues

Develop relationships with prospect customer contacts across SLED accounts

Utilize additional sales resources to target and identify new public sector business opportunities

Leverage Salesforce.com database to accurately reflect pipeline and account activity

Facilitate the proposal review process for new business opportunities

Utilize cooperative contracts and purchasing vehicles to accelerate opportunities and support public sector procurement processes

Work with internal teams and partners to align sales efforts with SLED procurement requirements and contracting pathways

Ability to travel to and from customer meetings (locally and nationally) & rent and/or operate a vehicle on behalf of the company

Requirements

2+ years of experience within software or tech sales, preferably within the IAM or cybersecurity industry

1+ years of SLED or government sales experience within software or tech sales

An accomplished track record of exceeding quotas, selling software into IT organizations

Experience managing full sales cycle is preferred

Familiarity with cooperative contracts and public sector purchasing vehicles

Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management tool is preferred, expertise with Salesforce.com is highly desired

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs

Web-conference demo experience

Aptitude for learning software; strong with business applications

Due to this role’s involvement in FedRAMP, all applicants must be a US Citizen

6. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, consistent with our industry leading security standards.

7. Retention

We keep your data for 24 months from your last application activity, then delete or anonymize it.

Exceptions:

You opt into our talent database for further retention by providing consent (extended retention)

You're hired (transfers to employee records)
