Outside Sales Consultant
JP Carroll Roofing has been serving Connecticut and Massachusetts since 1987, providing expert roofing, siding, gutters, and window services. As an Outside Sales Consultant, you will conduct in-home inspections, assess customer needs, and deliver presentations to help homeowners make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on company-provided leads, complete bids, and close sales
- Conduct multiple in-home roofing and exterior inspections daily
- Identify customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and guide them through the consultation process
- Deliver dynamic, company-approved presentations to educate and inform homeowners
- Maintain a professional and organized appearance, including vehicle and sales materials
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and trade shows
- Ensure all necessary paperwork (contracts, financing, etc.) is properly completed
- Adhere to company sales processes and best practices
Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record & background check
- Comfortable working on roofs, climbing ladders, and accessing attics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and build trust
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to use CRM software, Microsoft Office, and iOS tools
- Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- In-home sales or home improvement sales experience (roofing experience not required)
