• Maintaining a good working knowledge of dining room and kitchen procedures, including basic kitchen equipment operation and proper table setting
• Providing attentive service to residents, including assisting with meal orders, serving beverages, and refilling condiments
• Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, serving area, and dining room, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Reporting any broken equipment or tableware to supervisors and participating in maintenance tasks as needed
• Demonstrating a basic understanding of food preparation, storage, and labeling techniques
• Attending required in-services and staff meetings, and completing all assigned duties
• Interacting with residents, guests, co-workers, and supervisors in a polite and considerate manner
• Maintaining confidentiality policies regarding resident information

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions
• Ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks and learn quickly
• Effective communication skills and ability to work under close supervision
• Physical ability to bend, reach, grasp, push, and pull objects, stand, and walk for sustained periods
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet
• Organizational skills and willingness to work well with other team members
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Previous experience in a dining or hospitality setting
