Greentech Renewables is the nation's leading solar equipment distributor. Greentech Renewables provides a full range of solar equipment to thousands of contractors throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America, enabling solar installers to easily and cost-effectively design, sell, and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The Plan-Set Drafter is responsible for completing PV system permit plan sets that are code compliant and meet company and customer standards. The responsibilities include Quality Assurance/Quality Control, making corrections on faulty drawings, and refining holistic processes as we scale out our design team.
Reports to: Design Production Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
• 1+ years of solar experience in either drafting or design of plan-sets
• 1+ years of AutoCAD experience
• 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable working with repetitive and high-volume tasks
• Ability to follow detailed instructions while considering multiple variables
• Displays a high level of organizational and time management
• Ability to independently work with self-direction and decision making
• High level of communication skills to ensure smooth project flow between multiple stakeholders (parties)
• Comfortable working in some levels of uncertainty
Preferred Qualifications:
• EIT or PE License a plus
• NABCEP Certification a plus
• NEC Knowledge a plus
Working Conditions:
• Remote work with multiple weekly check-ins
• Work standard business hours of 8am to 5pm
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Essential Job Functions:
• Draft ten (10) to fifteen (15) Photovoltaic permit plan sets per day using AutoCAD and Excel
• Review of produced technical drawings for code compliance
• Provide feedback to manager on AutoCAD template and Excel tools to improve functionality
• Communicate proactively and effectively with Manager and Design Leads to ensure accurate plan set creation
• Manage & maintain progress in multiple projects simultaneously in the absence of direct supervision
• Contribute ideas for process & systems improvement independently

Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is $40000 to $45000 annually.
