Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in product ownership or a similar role

High degree of organizational skills

Proficient written and verbal communication skills with both clients and internal teammates

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

Ability to inspire and influence members of the product and development team

Willingness to take initiative and innovate on existing products and processes

Enjoys collaboration and has a team mindset

Agency experience and scrum certification a plus

Product Owner Responsibilities

Amplify the voice of the client as well as offer interpretation of client needs

Work with clients to analyze business needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals

Research and analyze the client's market, product users, and the roadmap for the project

Identify and write epics, features, and user stories

Define backlog items that guide the agile development teams

Continually learn with the team through collaboration

Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product

Participate in technical conversations surrounding application products with members of the development team

Lead story workshop sessions

Write acceptance criteria for user stories during sprint planning

Be ready to make product-related decisions and be accountable for those decisions

Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on tasks that are aligned with product strategy

Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.

Determine timeframes for completion of backlog items, ensuring alignment with the product’s overall strategy

Write and maintain user documentation for products

Be the primary contact for questions related to the product

Develop detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development team

Work in alignment with agile practices as well as learn and grow in your understanding of agile project management
