Falcon Risk Services is a specialty managing general agent focused on underwriting and claims management for financial and cyber lines of insurance. They are seeking a Professional Liability Underwriter to specialize in various professional liability areas while contributing to the company's overall strategy and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Underwriting and risk assessment
- Develop and expand broker relationships
- Build and maintain new business pipeline
- Adherence to underwriting strategy and guidelines
- Portfolio Management
- Compliance and documentation
- Market Research
- Occasional overnight travel required
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and regulations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and industry partners
- Proficiency in underwriting software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 to 5 years of relevant Professional Liability underwriting experience. Accountants Professional Liability, Insurance Agents and Brokers Professional Liability, Lawyers Professional Liability, and/or Miscellaneous Professional Liability
- Professional insurance qualifications preferred
