Project Financial Analyst
Motorola Solutions is a global community focused on enhancing public safety through advanced communication and security technologies. They are seeking a Project Financial Analyst to support financial reconciliations for major customer projects, ensuring accurate logging and revenue recognition, and collaborating across teams for timely billing and cash collection.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring projects are accurately logged and related revenue is recognized
- Review validity of orders for release and processing
- Work with project billers and collectors to ensure timely billing and cash collection
- Adhere to accounting controls and participate in quarterly SOX testing related to the completeness and accuracy of project population and financials
- Assist in month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required and 1+ years experience in a finance or accounting related role(s)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
- Strong Excel skills, includes Vlookups, Sumifs, pivot tables, etc
- Finance and/or accounting knowledge
- Detail oriented, accurate and autonomous, able to meet deadlines
- Inquisitive and proactively seek opportunities for improvement
- Comfortable with communicating cross-functionally
- Facilitate collaboration with internal finance team members as well as external business groups and customers
- Familiarity with Oracle is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Salesforce is a strong plus
