Remote Scheduler (Ohio-Based) – University Hospitals Urgent Care

We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Scheduler to support provider scheduling operations across all University Hospitals Urgent Care locations.

This is a fully remote position for candidates residing in Ohio. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our clinics remain appropriately staffed so our teams can continue providing high-quality care to the communities we serve. What You’ll Do

As a Remote Scheduler, you will support daily provider scheduling operations and help maintain seamless coverage across our urgent care network.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with creating and maintaining provider schedules for all University Hospitals Urgent Care locations

Facilitate and approve provider schedule swaps and changes

Communicate regularly with providers to assist in filling open shifts

Coordinate emergency coverage, conference coverage, and last-minute staffing needs

Maintain and update emergency call lists

Assist with provider payroll support

Communicate scheduling updates, protocol changes, and staffing needs with physicians and leadership

Identify staffing gaps or scheduling concerns and escalate appropriately

Collaborate closely with Providers, Credentialing Coordinators, HR, Recruiters, Clinical Leadership, and Quality & Provider Training teams

Utilize systems including UKG, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint daily

Support additional operational and administrative duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

Ohio residency required

Minimum of 1 year of scheduling experience preferred

Associate Degree in Business or related field preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Experience working with scheduling systems and workforce management tools preferred

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Flexibility to support nights, weekends, and emergency staffing situations as needed

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
