[Remote] Business Development Representative (NYC)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tiger Data is a leading provider of the fastest PostgreSQL platform designed for various workloads. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to support the sales team in generating meetings and creating pipelines by engaging with key prospects.
Responsibilities
- Convert inbound leads and qualify 'in-market' opportunities
- Prospect into assigned target accounts and self-source new opportunities
- Cold call regularly and run multichannel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn)
- Research accounts, identify the right buyers, and tailor messaging
- Build sequences that create urgency and drive replies
- Develop a clear account POV (why now, why Tiger Data, why it matters) and earn meetings
- Partner with AEs to align on account strategy, messaging, and next steps
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in Salesforce and related tools
- Attend industry conferences and events as needed

- You are a self-motivated self-starter with a history of hitting ambitious targets

- You are comfortable cold calling and using the phone as a primary channel
- You can confidently engage senior stakeholders and build trust quickly
- You thrive in a startup environment: you're comfortable with ambiguity, you move fast, and you turn loose direction into clear execution
- You have an entrepreneurial, builder mindset: you proactively improve plays, messaging, and process, and you seek and apply feedback quickly
- You bring strong time management and can balance multiple priorities and challenging targets
- 1+ years experience working in sales or customer-facing roles
- Prior Sales/SDR experience at a technology company
- Previous experience working with a technical audience
- Experience using sales productivity tools (e.g. Salesforce, Linkedin, GoogleSuite, Outreach, Apollo)
