[Remote] Frontend Software Engineer Intern (Global E-Commerce) - 2026 Summer (BS/MS)

They are seeking a Frontend Software Engineer Intern for the summer of 2026, where the intern will develop efficient front-end systems for e-commerce products, collaborate with various teams, and enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop efficient and highly reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications for e-commerce products
- Code optimization to improve scalability, reliability, security and performance of web applications
- Collaborate with product design, product management and software engineering teams to deliver best in class user experience
Skills
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- General familiarity and interest in frontend development, including: Languages: JavaScript/Typescript/HTML/CSS
- Frontend frameworks: React/Vue/Angular
- Packaging frameworks: Webpack/Rollup/BaBel/AST/Gulp
- Familiar with key concepts like functional and asynchronous programming, closures and types, layouts, specificity, animation, cross browser compatibility, data security and accessibility
- General understanding of multi-tier application architecture and protocols, familiarity with product and software development lifecycle process
- Graduating December 2026 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship
- Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver
- Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications
- Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment
