[Remote] Quality Control Technician
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dufferin Aggregates, a division of CRH Canada, is a leading supplier of aggregates for the construction industry in Ontario. They are hiring a Quality Control Technician to maintain the quality management system and perform analysis on concrete and aggregate materials.
Responsibilities
- Perform sampling and testing of aggregates to ensure compliance with plant and regulatory specifications
- Record, analyze, and interpret test data, maintaining accurate daily logs and supporting quality investigations
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment, including preventive and general maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with field technicians, lab personnel, plant operators, and supervisors to communicate quality objectives and results
- Identify and report quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Support additional quality-related activities as assigned, ensuring alignment with business goals and standards
Skills
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Geological, Materials Engineering, or related field; or OACETT registration
- Knowledge of aggregate testing and OH&S regulations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid G-class driver's license
- Able to work outdoors in varying conditions
