JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Revit Technician is responsible for developing and maintaining Revit models, templates and families used both internally and externally for the creation of piping models. This position will support the BIM Manager in ensuring the accuracy and functionality of Viega CAD content to improve the user experience and influence the inclusion and specification of Viega products. They will work closely with the Digital Content Specialist to provide technical support and solutions to anyone modeling with Viega press fittings and accessories.   

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Responsibilities

Create Revit families of Viega press fittings and accessories

Create Revit families of miscellaneous plumbing and piping components

Create Revit models of buildings from source construction documents

Modify existing Revit families to update geometry or improve functionality

Modify or add parameter data to Revit families or projects

Modify Revit templates as necessary

Troubleshoot issues related to families, templates, or cloud-services

Consult with customers to understand workflows and suggest improvements

Assist team members with Revit project setup

Assist team members with Revit sheet setup

Assist team members with generating material lists from Revit models

 

Other

 

Attends meetings as required

Attends industry-specific trade-shows or workshops

Travel may be required up to 25%

Complies with Viega’s Environmental, Health, and Safety guidelines

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Proficient in the use of Autodesk products including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks etc.

Proficient in the use of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)

Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu

Familiarity with common CAD file types such as DWG, DXF, DGN, RFA etc.

Familiarity with common 3D file formats such as STEP, IGES, VRML/X3D etc.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams

Keen attention to detail

Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit or similar certification(s)

2 years of experience managing CAD/BIM content in a building construction environment

2 years of experience creating and editing Revit families

2 years of experience creating and editing Revit parameter data

2 years of experience modeling piping systems

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation

Base: $97,000 to $133,000 USD annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.

Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
