Sales Lead Development
Agilent Technologies is seeking a Sales Lead Development Representative to market their products and services to well-qualified prospects. The role involves generating leads through various communication channels and assisting the sales team by qualifying potential customers.
Responsibilities
- The Sales Lead Development Representative will be responsible for marketing the company’s products and/or services via telephone, email and webchat with well-qualified prospects
- Answers customer questions about products and services, product equipment functionality and pricing, typically generated as a result of local and/or national advertising
- Assists in the company’s sales by generating prospective customers by initiating calls to potential and existing customers and qualifying leads
- Qualified leads are directed to the sales team for follow-up and to close the sale
- May maintain a database of well-qualified leads and may schedule appointments for sales representatives to meet with prospective customers, or for customers to attend sales presentations
- May occasionally take orders but typically does not close the sale
- May mail marketing/sales literature to prospective clients to enhance awareness of the company and its products/services in the targeted business community
- Current knowledge of the industry as well as the competitive posture of the company
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the Life Sciences
- Typically, at least 1-2+ years relevant experience
