Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant, Inventory join our growing Corporate Accounting team. This role will serve as a key business partner across operations and finance, supporting inventory accounting activities while helping drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in inventory cost accounting, an eagerness to learn, and a continuous improvement mindset. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company currently undergoing a Workday ERP implementation, where the individual will play an active role in helping build and optimize inventory processes within a new system environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support monthly close activities related to inventory accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis

Maintain and analyze inventory costing, reserves, variances, and inventory-related financial reporting

Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate inventory reporting and process alignment

Assist with inventory controls, cycle counts, and audit support

Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies across inventory accounting workflows

Participate in the implementation and optimization of Workday inventory and accounting processes

Help document and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls related to inventory

Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

1–2 years of experience in public accounting and/or internal inventory accounting

Foundational understanding of inventory cost accounting principles and inventory controls

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

Process improvement and automation-oriented mindset with a desire to challenge and improve existing processes

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

Oracle and Workday experience is a plus

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
