Senior DevOps Engineer – Aviation & Mission-Critical Systems
For one of our clients, RSB Automotive Consulting is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a team working on highly reliable, large-scale digital platforms within the aviation, transportation and mission-critical domain. This is a highly demanding environment where systems operate at global scale and must meet strict requirements for stability, performance, and resilience. The work is closely aligned with industries such as aviation, transportation, and other safety-critical operational domains, where system reliability directly impacts real-world operations.

The role is fully remote, with flexible cooperation available under B2B or permanent employment (UoP). Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure platforms and enabling robust, efficient delivery pipelines for production systems. You will work in a modern cloud-native environment, ensuring high availability and smooth deployment processes across globally distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure for production environments

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows and modern automation tools

Develop automation and internal tooling using Python and Go

Manage artifact repositories and dependency workflows (e.g., Artifactory or similar solutions)

Support and optimize SQL and/or NoSQL databases in production environments

Implement monitoring, logging, and full-stack observability solutions

Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of distributed systems

Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment processes and developer experience

Participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives

Contribute to platform architecture decisions and DevOps best practices

Enforce security, access control, and compliance standards across environments

Requirements
Previous experience in aviation, transportation, or mission-critical environments

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments

Experience with Python and/or Go for automation and tooling

Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows

Experience with artifact management tools (e.g., Artifactory)

Good understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases from an operational perspective

Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and cloud-native architectures

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Excellent English communication skills in international teams
