Senior Director, Product
Job Description
The Senior Director, Product owns product strategy across multiple pods or a strategic platform area, shaping vision, execution, and talent strategy. The Senior Director will work directly with senior engineering, UX, and business leaders to align roadmaps with company objectives, create scalable product practices, and drive cultural leadership across the product organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for elevating product performance, shaping long-term innovation, and preparing future product leaders.
Core Job Duties
Own cross-pod product strategy and vision alignment
Influence company direction through product lens
Lead, coach, and scale Directors, Sr GPMs, and key ICs
Set high-level product OKRs and evaluate delivery across portfolios
Drive hiring, succession planning, and team development
Define and evolve the product operating model in collaboration with CPTO
Champion voice of the customer and user-centric culture at scale
Represent product at executive and board-level forums
Foster innovation, experimentation, and strategic AI enablement
Be a flexible and supportive team member, assisting with other responsibilities as they arise
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Management, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
12+ years of Payroll or HCM industry experience
8+ years leading teams
Mastery in cross-functional planning and executive storytelling
Deep fluency in agile, product ops, and enterprise product development
Ability to set vision and lead with decisiveness through ambiguity
Proven experience effectively managing other product leaders and scaling functions
Strong financial and business case modeling skills
Inspirational leader, who is considered visionary grounded in reality
Ability to remain calm and operate effectively under pressure and multiple competing deadlines
Deeply curious, continual learner who operates with long-term perspective & short-term execution
