CC.Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to support a client in the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical building services projects across commercial, residential, mixed-use, and refurbishment developments. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical building systems, project leadership capabilities, and experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the UK market and a strong understanding of UK electrical regulations, sustainability requirements, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems, including LV distribution, small power, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, security systems, ICT, access control, and life-safety systems

Prepare and review calculations, schematics, layouts, specifications, and technical reports

Deliver electrical design packages across RIBA Stages 1–6

Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, structural, and sustainability teams throughout project delivery

Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables

Act as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders

Present technical solutions, design proposals, and project updates to clients

Integrate energy-efficient lighting, smart controls, EV charging infrastructure, renewable technologies, and low-carbon electrical solutions into project designs

Support sustainability initiatives including Part L compliance, BREEAM assessments, NABERS requirements, and energy strategy development

Promote whole-life carbon thinking and electrical system optimization

Review contractor drawings, technical submissions, and provide construction-stage support

Contribute to technical leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance within the engineering team

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline

Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards chartership through CIBSE or IET

Strong knowledge of UK electrical regulations, including BS 7671, Building Regulations, CIBSE Guides, and relevant British Standards

Proven experience delivering electrical building services designs within the UK market

Experience working on commercial offices, residential developments, hotels, retail, and mixed-use projects

Strong experience designing LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, security systems, ICT, access control, and life-safety systems

Proficiency with Amtech/Trimble, Dialux/Relux, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and other relevant electrical design software

Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing project delivery

Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills

Excellent problem-solving, technical analysis, and decision-making abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously

Willing and able to work a mid-shift schedule to support and collaborate with UK-based teams and stakeholders

This is a fully remote position; candidates must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup to support daily collaboration and project delivery activities.

Nice to have
Experience with smart buildings, IoT systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS)

Knowledge of renewable energy systems, including solar PV, battery storage, and micro-generation technologies

Experience integrating EV charging infrastructure into building designs

Experience supporting BREEAM, NABERS, or other sustainability-focused projects

Familiarity with BIM Level 2 workflows and digital engineering processes

Experience working in both traditional and design-and-build procurement environments

Strong understanding of whole-life carbon assessment and low-carbon electrical design strategies

Previous mentoring, project leadership, or team management experience
