Senior Revenue Accounting Manager
About the Role
The Senior Revenue Accounting Manager serves as Veeam’s primary technical accounting resource for ASC 606, owning complex revenue recognition matters, policy development, and the annual Stand-Alone Selling Price (SSP) evaluation. Reporting to the VP, Global Revenue Controller, this senior individual contributor role acts as the internal subject matter expert on revenue recognition and collaborates with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Deal Desk, and Corporate Technology. You will drive improvements in revenue processes, support external audits, and ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting in compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements. This role is based in the US and sits within the Finance team at the P5 level.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the primary ASC 606 resource for complex arrangements, multi-element contracts, variable consideration, and contract modifications, including reviewing contracts to identify performance obligations, determine transaction prices, and document accounting conclusions via policy memos
Own the end-to-end annual SSP evaluation, including data analysis, methodology updates, documentation, and auditor support
Guide and validate revenue recognition rules applied to product SKUs, including understanding of Standalone Selling Price and its impact on fair value revenue allocation
Collaborate with teams across Finance, Accounting, Billing, Deal Desk, Order Processing, Legal, and Corporate Technology to ensure accurate and timely revenue processing and reporting in line with company policies and US GAAP
Manage month, quarter, and year-end closing activities related to revenue and deferred revenue, including reconciliations and variance analysis
Support external audits by providing documentation and support for revenue and deferred revenue policies, transactions, and activities
Contribute to projects aimed at automating and improving revenue processes and reporting, and continuously evaluate controls and compliance with SOX and internal policies
Participate in cross-functional initiatives related to revenue, sharing insights and providing suggestions for process enhancement

What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, plus an active CPA certification
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on technical revenue accounting under ASC 606
Demonstrated experience owning or managing the SSP evaluation process
Strong ability to research, interpret, and document technical accounting positions
Experience with ERP and CRM systems, preferably NetSuite and Salesforce
Proficiency in Excel and other key Microsoft applications
Superior attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Bonus Skills
Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control requirements
Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling and data analysis
Experience supporting external audits in a technical revenue accounting capacity
Familiarity with revenue process automation and system implementation projects

Compensation Transparency
Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.
