Senior Technical Writer- networking experience
Our client, a multinational company that provides networking solutions to power business is looking for a senior technical writer to join their Wired Applications team.
The writer will create and maintain technical documentation for complex networking and platform products, collaborate with global cross-functional teams, and independently manage deliverables across release cycles.
Initial 12 month contract, with a view to longer term work

Key Responsibilities
Create, review, and maintain technical documentation including Command Reference, User Guide, Configuration Guide, Troubleshooting Guide, Release Notes, and Deployment Guide
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, proactively align on deliverables, and surface risks or blockers early — before they impact timelines
Maintain documentation standards, templates, and information architecture in alignment with the Extreme Networks Style Guide
Use structured authoring tools and CCMS platforms such as oXygen and Heretto
Continuously improve existing content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy
Drive content review and approval workflows with stakeholders, ensuring timely sign-off
Manage project timelines independently, consistently meet deadlines, and communicate schedule risks proactively with recommended mitigations
Prepare and submit documents for publishing in compliance with AI quality standards set by the User Enablement team
Actively engage with AI-assisted documentation workflows, including prompt crafting, output review, and iterative refinement using tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Rovo
Champion a culture of proactive communication — anticipate information gaps, keep cross-functional partners informed without being asked, and raise issues through the right channels at the right time
The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with deep technical writing expertise, networking domain knowledge, and hands-on experience with AI documentation tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Rovo.
