Overview

The Senior Manager, Information Technology provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across designated IT domains. This role ensures delivery of technology solutions, governance, and continuous improvement aligned with organizational objectives. This position is responsible for managing teams, budgets, and vendor relationships while maintaining compliance with regulatory and security standards. Additional accountabilities include shaping enterprise-wide IT strategies, setting strategic standards, and championing innovation to enable scalable growth.

Responsibilities

Lead designated IT teams to deliver enterprise technology solutions

Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and governance frameworks.

Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation for assigned domains

Drive and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, FERPA)

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of best practices (ITIL, Agile, DevOps)

Foster strong stakeholder relationships and provide executive-level reporting

Oversee vendor management and contract negotiations

Drive opportunities for automation, standardization, and process enhancements

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within IT

Develop strong relationships with leaders across the organization, building a clear understanding of where IT can provide strategic impact

Establish/maintain a high-performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics

Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (required)

Master’s degree (preferred)

Minimum of eight (8) years of IT leadership experience (required)

Strategic planning and execution with a focus on business alignment and value delivery

Strong financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization

Expertise in vendor and contract management, including negotiation and performance oversight

Strong governance, risk, and compliance management across regulatory frameworks

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence at all organizational levels

Proven ability to drive innovation, digital transformation, and process optimization

Deep understanding of IT service delivery, project management methodologies (Agile, ITIL), and emerging technologies

Lead diverse, high-performing teams across designated IT domains with a focus on strategic outcomes

Communicate effectively with executives, stakeholders, and technical teams

Adapt quickly to emerging technologies and evolving industry trends

Mentor and develop future IT leaders to build organizational capability

Work Environment 

Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.

This position is designated as Remote. Employees must meet minimum technical standards for eligibility and participation.

Overnight and/or Local travel required (up to 15%)
