THE ROLE 

As a Strategic Account Delivery Lead within the Ashbury M&I team, you will operate at the forefront of Ashbury’s client delivery model, owning the successful onboarding, structuring, and strategic execution of key client accounts. You will translate complex client requirements into scalable delivery frameworks, ensuring our advisory teams are positioned to deliver consistently high-quality, compliant outputs. 

This is a senior, highly visible role requiring a combination of deep regulatory expertise, strategic thinking, and operational leadership. You will act as the central point of accountability for how client engagements are designed and delivered, shaping ways of working, driving consistency, and ensuring alignment between commercial intent and technical execution. 

You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial, Advisory, and leadership teams to ensure that client onboarding is robust, efficient, and positioned for long-term success. Reporting to a Regulatory Manager, you will take ownership of delivery strategy across assigned accounts, ensuring performance, quality, and client satisfaction are achieved at scale. 

You will be responsible for: 

Leading end-to-end client onboarding, defining engagement models, delivery scope, and structured project frameworks aligned to strategic objectives 

Owning the design and implementation of scalable delivery models, ensuring consistency across accounts and alignment with Ashbury standards 

Establishing governance structures, processes, and workflows that enable high-quality, efficient, and repeatable service delivery 

Acting as the strategic interface between clients, Business Development, and Advisory teams, ensuring alignment from sale through to delivery 

Overseeing project setup across systems and platforms, ensuring clarity of scope, responsibilities, and expected outputs for delivery teams 

Driving operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, risks, or gaps, and implementing sustainable solutions 

Providing senior technical oversight across key regulatory deliverables, including:  

Specification and pack copy review 

Artwork review 

Formulation review 

Regulatory adaptations 

Applying expert-level knowledge of regulatory frameworks, codes of practice, and policies to guide decision-making and manage risk 

Interpreting complex regulatory requirements and translating them into clear, actionable guidance for both clients and internal teams 

Leading capability development within advisory teams, including mentoring, training, and structured transition of account ownership 

Ensuring consistency in quality, accuracy, and performance across all client engagements 

 Working closely with the Ashbury NL L&S team to align standards and delivery for new client onboarding 

Customer Focus and Relationship Management 

Act as a trusted partner to both external clients and internal stakeholders, building strong and effective working relationships 

Ensure a customer-first approach across all onboarding and delivery activities 

Translate client requirements into clear delivery plans that meet both regulatory and commercial needs 

Maintain a high level of responsiveness, clarity, and professionalism in all interactions 

 

 

SKILLSET / EXPERIENCE 

Knowledge

Essential 

Degree-level qualification in a food, scientific, or regulatory discipline, or equivalent experience 

Expert-level regulatory knowledge, including food labelling legislation, codes of practice, and guidance 

Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks and commercial implications for clients 

Extensive knowledge of product data lifecycle (PDL) processes, systems, and best practices 

Strong awareness of emerging regulatory trends, risks, and industry developments 

Experience

Essential 

Substantial experience in a senior regulatory, technical, or related role

Proven experience leading complex client onboarding and establishing scalable account delivery models 

Extensive experience with PDL systems and processes, including specification, artwork, and data management workflows 

Demonstrated experience designing and implementing structured processes and operating models within a consultancy or service environment 

Strong track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strategic oversight 

Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, technical, and operational teams 

Demonstrable expertise in risk-based decision making and regulatory interpretation 

Fluent in spoken and written English, with an additional language considered beneficial, particularly in support of international collaboration and client delivery 

Proven ability to deliver high quality regulatory advice to clients, supporting informed decision making and ensuring compliance across Manufacturing and International markets
