Tax Assurance Associate
TKR Accountants & Advisors is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services. They are seeking a Tax Assurance Associate to provide tax and consulting services, prepare tax returns, and assist with financial reporting and assurance engagements.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax and consulting services such as preparing federal and state tax returns
- Researching relevant tax issues
- Communicating their impact on clients’ businesses
- Preparing year-end tax projections
- Learning to develop and deliver tax planning strategies
- Provide services related to planning assurance engagements
- Preparing financial statements
- Conducting testing procedures
- Identifying and assisting in the resolution of client issues
- Other financial reporting matters
Skills
- BS or MS in Accounting
- Solid academic performance and achievement in relevant areas of study
- Technical accounting knowledge
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently
- Effective time management skills
- Relevant internship or work experience is helpful, but not required
