Though the role is remote, preference is given to candidates within or near the Augusta, ME area for occasional onsite collaboration.

Job Description

In this role, the Technical Architecture Specialist will define, document, and maintain enterprise architecture solutions, ensuring that technical implementations meet strategic goals. You will lead the evaluation of tools, platforms, and architectural patterns while advising project and development teams. This position requires strong expertise in modern cloud ecosystems, enterprise integration, and system modernization strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline

  8+ years of experience in IT architecture or enterprise systems design

  Proven experience with architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)

  Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  Knowledge of API architecture, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines

  Experience modernizing legacy systems

  Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

  Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-level architecture solutions

  Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business goals

  Evaluate and recommend technology platforms and patterns

  Establish best practices for integration, scalability, and security

  Oversee architecture review boards and technical governance

  Provide technical mentorship to development teams

  Document architecture blueprints and maintain system diagrams
