CivilGrid is a venture-backed SaaS construction tech company building the 'Google Maps for the Underground.' They are seeking a Utility Research Coordinator to join their collaborative data team, responsible for utility research and data outreach to support infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Research utility operations, public works assets, and asset management plans
  • Communicate directly with public works offices and utility asset owners by email and phone
  • Interpret maps, as-built drawings, and engineering plans at a basic level
  • Track communications in internal applications
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about progress of requests and digitization

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to spend significant time communicating with external entities/organizations
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, ability to operate independently working remotely
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Experience with reading utility maps, as-built drawings, and engineering plans at a basic level
  • Experience working with utilities and/or government agencies
  • Experience researching and working with open source data
