Warehouse Worker /P&D Driver (Hybrid role)

Daniels Health is a company focused on improving healthcare standards by providing safe waste management solutions. They are seeking a Plant Operator /P&D Driver to manage waste processing and logistics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing of the various waste streams
• Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes
• Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency
• Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes
• Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes
• Competently performs pre-trip and post-trips inspections with the intent of identifying and communicating minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor, and also completes daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device
• Loads and unloads truck by placing and securing items in such a manner that prevents damage to the products and truck, regular lifting will be required
• Local and occasional out of town routes, may require some overnights as well
• Ensuring all materials are properly packaged, and orders are fully complete and in accordance with the packing slip prior to trip departure
• Driving: Deliver and collect products/waste containers in accordance with scheduled route and serves customers by understanding, resolving and/or forwarding customer questions
• Diligently completes Daniels' commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol on a daily basis
• Accurately records information on packing slip and manifest, ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations
• Complies with all environmental & health and safety policies and procedures
• Ensures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately
• Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Supervisor

Skills

• Class 5 License with Air Brakes is a must
• Minimum of 12 months verifiable, related behind the wheel driving experience (within last 36 months)
• Clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract (dated within last 30 days)
• Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, such as reference check, background check, pre-employment medical test and a driver's road test or equivalent
• Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
• Occasionally lifting, pushing pulling weights of sixty pounds or more
