Attorney - Housing Unit
Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal assistance and advocacy for low-income individuals and families. They are seeking a Florida licensed attorney to provide civil legal services in their Housing Unit, primarily serving Duval County residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide civil legal services in the Housing Unit
- Grow and adapt practice to the needs of the community and the organization
- Interview and counsel clients as well as litigate cases in Federal and State courts
- Take on challenging cases for at-risk clients while being mentored and supported
Skills
- Florida licensed attorney
- Ability to provide civil legal services in the Housing Unit
- Experience in interviewing and counseling clients
- Experience in litigating cases in Federal and State courts
- Ability to take on challenging cases for at-risk clients
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment
- Clear Florida's Level II background screening
