Business Development Representative
Mycroft is an AI-native cybersecurity and compliance platform redefining how modern businesses stay secure. The Business Development Representative will focus on creating a qualified pipeline for the sales team through outbound prospecting and collaboration with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Own outbound across email, LinkedIn, and calls to generate qualified demos
- Research accounts and tailor messaging to security, compliance, and risk pain points
- Represent Mycroft alongside the sales team at conferences and events, helping drive awareness, start conversations, and generate qualified opportunities
- Book and qualify demos that meet ICP and qualification standards
- Maintain clean CRM data and accurate activity tracking
- Test and iterate on outbound sequences, value props, and call approaches
- Share learnings with Sales Leadership and Marketing to improve conversion rates
- Partner with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs and strong deal context
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing on campaigns and targeting
- Help shape outbound playbooks, talk tracks, and qualification frameworks as we scale
Skills
- 0–2+ years in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
- B2B SaaS experience is a plus, but not required
- You are competitive, resilient, and comfortable hearing 'no'
- You take ownership of your number and your learning curve
- Clear, confident, and concise — especially in writing
- Able to simplify complex topics into compelling conversations
- You want to understand how businesses buy, not just follow a script
- You actively seek feedback and improve quickly
