Job Summary

We are hiring a Business Intelligence Lead (Remote – Ireland) to drive data and analytics strategy across our European client portfolio. You will lead the design and delivery of scalable BI solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making across complex capital projects. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, leadership, and client engagement to deliver impactful insights and measurable business value.

In this role you will:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of business intelligence and analytics solutions across multiple client programmes

Design, build, and optimise dashboards, reports, and data models (primarily in Power BI)

Define and implement BI strategy aligned with client and organisational objectives

Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights

Develop and maintain scalable data architectures on Microsoft Azure / Microsoft Fabric

Build and optimise data pipelines, integrations, and data models to support reporting and analytics

Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across systems and platforms

Work closely with project controls and delivery teams to provide reporting for programme performance

Support integration with industry tools (e.g. ACC, EcoSys, Aconex, Planview, etc.)

Drive automation of reporting processes using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)

Lead BI best practices, standards, and documentation across the organisation

Support business growth through input into proposals, client demos, and solution design

Mentor junior analysts and developers, fostering a high-performance data culture

Our Ideal Candidate
You are a hands-on BI and data leader who:
Has strong expertise in business intelligence, analytics, and data visualisation

Balances technical delivery with stakeholder engagement

Can clearly communicate data insights to non-technical audiences

Is comfortable working remotely while collaborating with global teams

Thrives in a fast-paced, consultancy-style environment

Brings a commercial mindset and a focus on delivering measurable value

Has experience within the construction industry

Experience Required
5–10+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering

Strong experience delivering Power BI reporting and dashboarding solutions

Experience with Azure Data Platform / Microsoft Fabric

Proven experience working with complex datasets and integrating multiple sources

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Data, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)

Experience working in construction, engineering, or infrastructure is advantageous but not essential

Technical Skills
Advanced Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboards)

Strong SQL skills (essential)

Experience with Python (desirable)

Experience with Azure tools (Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Fabric)

Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines

Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)

Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks

Exposure to AI-enabled tools (e.g. Copilot) is a plus

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Experience mentoring or leading BI/data teams

Proactive, solutions-focused, and highly collaborative
