Decisioning Platform and Credit Risk Analyst
Avant is a company focused on digital banking solutions, and they are seeking an enthusiastic Analyst to join their team. This entry-level position involves managing decisioning platforms and analyzing credit risk for loan and credit card products.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day management and maintenance of the decisioning platforms for the loan and credit card products
- Assist with building, updating, and testing decision rules, workflows, and data integrations
- Conduct routine quality assurance checks to ensure rule accuracy and system logic aligns with credit policies
- Troubleshoot platform issues, identify root causes and collaborate cross functionally to resolve any issues
- Assist in analyzing credit risk and performance trends for new and existing portfolios of Credit Card and Personal Loan products
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and credit assessments to measure impact of new rules or policies
- Prepare comprehensive reports on credit risk exposure and portfolio performance
- Collaborate with senior analysts to develop risk mitigation strategies
- Support the development of credit risk models and tools to evaluate effectiveness and accuracy
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g. Math, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort working with structured data
- Excellent attention to detail, process management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with SQL and Python
- Ability to translate business requirements into logical steps or rule configurations
- Strong communications skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners
- Curiosity and willingness to learn credit risk concepts and decisioning system architecture
- Familiarity with logic-based systems, workflow tools, or decision engines (especially Decisions.com) is a plus
