They are seeking a highly motivated Junior Bridge Engineer to work closely with a team of experts on significant projects in North America, focusing on bridge design, analysis, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare designs and analysis calculations and reports for various types of bridges and other transportation related structures
  • Prepare and run models, analyse and evaluate results using engineering software
  • Prepare specifications and engineer’s estimates
  • Solve engineering problems and challenges as a team member working with other disciplines and professionals
  • Perform site visits and inspections and prepare photos, notes, and/or reports as required

Skills

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or higher with concentration in structures
  • 0 to 4 years of work experience in Structural Engineering
  • Either have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or be willing to take and pass FE within 1 year after hiring
  • Actively participate in professional associations and be able and willing to learn
  • Have strong attention to detail along with reasoning and decision-making skills
  • Possess good analytical, planning and organizational skills combined with the ability to multi-task
  • Be familiar with various structural analysis software programs
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
