1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc. is seeking a Marketplace Analyst to optimize the performance and profitability of their marketplace channels. The role involves delivering data-driven insights, monitoring marketplace health, and collaborating with various teams to drive revenue growth across key platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily performance across marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, DoorDash, Walmart), tracking KPIs such as sales, conversion, traffic, pricing, profitability, and on-time delivery
  • Analyze trends to identify growth opportunities and operational risks across brands and platforms
  • Build and maintain performance dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
  • Conduct SKU-level, brand-level, and channel-level performance deep dives to support merchandising and marketing decisions
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking across platforms (pricing, ratings, reviews, assortment, delivery fees, placement)
  • Provide category insights to inform marketplace strategy and identify industry trends affecting floral, gourmet gifting, and perishable product categories
  • Track marketplace operational metrics such as cancellation rates, on-time delivery, defect rates, and customer satisfaction scores
  • Alert cross-functional teams to emerging risks or SLA compliance issues
  • Support root-cause analysis for performance disruptions (e.g., fulfillment failures, listing suppressions, algorithm changes)
  • Support dynamic pricing analysis to maintain competitiveness while protecting margin across perishable and non-perishable inventory
  • Evaluate fee structures, ad spend efficiency, and promotions to ensure healthy contribution profit
  • Assist with modeling financial impact for assortment or pricing changes
  • Partner with Marketplace Managers, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Digital Marketing to deliver insights that drive channel strategy
  • Prepare performance updates and insights for weekly business reviews, leadership meetings, and brand teams

Skills

  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, dashboards, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment
