Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Alia is a fast-growing startup in the Shopify ecosystem, trusted by leading brands. The role involves owning outbound demand generation, building pipelines, and engaging with Shopify brands to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own cold email outreach and multi-channel prospecting to generate qualified opportunities for the sales team
  • Build and optimize automation systems (sequences, triggers, follow-ups) that scale outbound efforts
  • Research and identify high-fit Shopify brands, understanding their tech stack and growth challenges
  • Test messaging, subject lines, and cadences to continuously improve response and conversion rates
  • Initiate conversations that uncover prospect pain points and align them with Alia's value proposition
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, ensuring a smooth handoff to Account Executives
  • Communicate clearly how Alia drives opt-in rates, revenue, and zero-party data collection for Shopify brands
  • Partner with Sales leadership to refine targeting, messaging, and process
  • Contribute to building the BDR playbook: what works, what doesn't, and what to try next
  • Share frontline insights with Marketing and Product to sharpen positioning and inform roadmap decisions

Skills

  • Experience as a BDR (or similar outbound role), ideally at a SaaS or eCommerce-focused company
  • Hands-on experience with cold email, sequencing tools, and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach)
  • Strong written communication: you can write emails that get opened, read, and replied to
  • Self-directed mindset: you don't need constant direction on 'how to do X, Y, Z'
  • Comfort with ambiguity and speed in an early-stage environment
  • Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and DTC brand landscape
  • Experience helping build or scale a GTM function from scratch
  • Understanding of eCommerce metrics (AOV, conversion rate, LTV) and how they connect to Alia's value prop
  • Prior exposure to marketing tech (ESPs, SMS platforms, popup tools)
