Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly creative sourcing strategies to proactively discover and attract top-tier talent from niche technical communities, open-source projects, and targeted professional networks (e.g., GitHub, technical forums)
- Align deeply with Engineering leadership and Recruiters to intimately understand the technical nuances of specialized roles and contribute market intelligence to hiring strategy
- Cultivate and manage robust, high-quality talent pipelines for our most critical and specialized engineering roles, with a focus on delivering high-signal candidates
- Leverage analytics and market intelligence to rigorously inform your sourcing approach, sharing professional market mapping reports and data-backed insights with the broader talent acquisition team and business stakeholders
- Uphold the highest standard for candidate engagement, ensuring every interaction is professional, welcoming, informative, and reflects the innovative culture of TikTok Engineering
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in talent acquisition (sourcing, recruiting coordination, or talent research)
- Proven experience utilizing advanced features of talent platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and specialized technical sourcing tools to identify and engage passive candidates
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities, large projects, and complex pipelines in a dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport across engineering functions, communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and partner closely with hiring managers
- Demonstrated ability to conduct deep market mapping and analysis, resulting in the production of comprehensive and insightful reports that influence hiring decisions
- A highly result-oriented self-starter who is resourceful, innovative, and takes initiative, demonstrating the agility to quickly embrace and adapt to change in a globally distributed organization
- A strong passion for technical domains and demonstrate a strong ability to embrace and adapt to changes and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Experience sourcing for Algorithm focused roles is highly advantageous
