Electrical Engineer
Boeing is a leading aerospace company committed to innovation and collaboration. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide design authority engineering change support for a large Test Equipment, Tool, Jig, and Fixture project within their Defense and Space Systems team.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document analyses to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Review and maintain electrical system and test equipment component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards, or other design methods. Provide product definition to other engineering groups, repair operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
- Perform electrical engineering evaluations of proposed design changes to include detailed test equipment design, testing requirements, component and hardware selection, schematics, interface, and requirement interpretations and updates
- Support development, maintenance, or modification of system, component, and installation designs and proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups
- Support the development and documentation of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), cabling, and obsolete part substitutions
- Contribute to supplier development and test and production activities
- Support system component designs, proposals standards, and installation and detail documentation
Skills
- Years of related experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairs
- Experience designing, developing, testing, qualifying electrical systems and electronic systems
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required
- Active clearance
- Experience with electrotechnical product testing and Test Equipment Design and repair
- Guidance system experience. GNC
- Experience applying industry and company standards to design documentation
- Experience working with USAF or US Government
- Experience developing and documenting requirements
- Experience with Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) Hardware Description Language (VHDL)
- Experience with Mentor Graphics (Siemens)
- Experience with PSpice
- Prior nuclear critical communication equipment development experience
- Prior Minuteman III ICBM weapon system experience
