Strategy Associate
Emerald is a company that produces events and delivers content to drive commerce. The Strategy Associate will play a key role in the Corporate Strategy & Communications team, focusing on enterprise strategy, market analysis, and business performance insights while supporting strategic partnerships and communications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis across markets, competitors, customers, and brand performance to inform strategic planning, business cases, and leadership decision-making
- Synthesize insights and prepare strategic deliverables, including concise summaries, opportunity assessments, frameworks, and slides for senior leadership
- Support enterprise strategy initiatives by helping structure workstreams, organizing information, and ensuring cross-functional teams are aligned and progressing
- Assist with Strategic Partnerships work, including gathering market intelligence, supporting partner evaluations and preparing pitch materials
- Provide targeted support for Communications by helping draft strategic messaging for select enterprise-wide initiatives, and leadership materials
- Help prepare executive-ready materials, such as presentations, talking points, analysis memos, and research briefs that support Strategy, Partnerships, and enterprise programs
- Maintain organization and workflow discipline by keeping documents, trackers, dashboards, and planning tools up to date to support efficient, high-quality execution
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, economics, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, research/analytics, or another structured problem-solving role (strong internships acceptable for exceptional candidates)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify patterns, and synthesize insights that inform strategic recommendations
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, concise outputs
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, curious, and proactive, with a willingness to work across teams, gather input, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
